At Korzo Studio, Khalil Mounji and DJ Taxi Kabir carried the deep pulse of the guembri into psychedelic electronic space, in an evening shared with Amazigh singer Silya Ziani.
From ritual to electronic trance
The evening framed the lila as both a ceremony and a living contemporary form. Khalil Mounji’s guembri, Gnawa rhythms and call-and-response language met DJ Taxi Kabir’s synths, beats and experimental loops through their Gnawa Groove Lab collaboration.
A shared Moroccan continuum
Silya Ziani’s Amazigh repertoire extended the programme’s dialogue between rooted musical knowledge and current expression. The meeting did not flatten those traditions into a single fusion; it made room for distinct histories to move through one evening.
