The fourth edition of Jdba w’Klam placed Gnawa at the centre of three days of performance, recognition and intergenerational exchange in Casablanca.
A dedicated Gnawa edition
The programme brought together Hassan Boussou, Abderrahim Benthami, Khalil Mounji, Amin Loujdi and Ayoub Lemrabet. That range of voices made the event a meeting point between established knowledge, contemporary practice and a generation extending Gnawa into new cultural spaces.
Recognition and continuity
Khalil Mounji’s participation formed part of a wider commitment to the preservation, development and visibility of Gnawa arts. The event’s documented emphasis was collective: honouring contributions while keeping transmission active on stage and in public conversation.
Dates, edition and artists are documented in the official festival film. Khalil Mounji also published an event post on 21 December 2023.
